Prague Field Trip
TERM PAPER
The subject of the final paper is critical examination of a geographic section within the historical centre of Prague, from the perspective of either one of the following aspects:
- Integration of heritage sites within the built environment of the 20th century.
- Evolution of pedestrian precincts and their integration within contemporary modes of travel.
- The design and configuration of street furniture as a tool of placemaking.
- Residential and commercial services in a neighborhood within the inner city.
Resources:Students will have access to the Czech National Library while at Prague, and are expected to utilize the Library resources in preparing their two assignments. While in Prague, Library material can be used also in obtaining information relevant to the final paper. Students are expected to make and to record their observations in a manner that will allow them to complete their final paper, due approximately three weeks after end of course in Saskatoon..
