A short while after I joined the Department of Community Health & Epidemiology, the idea for CHEP the Chimp was conceived. The Department has such a wonderful team that I thought it would be fun to have a mascot. Hence enters CHEP (our Community Health & Epidemiology Primate). Birthdate: May 20, 2006.
Since there were conversations about fabulous travels taken by various members in the department, I thought it would be fun for CHEP to accompany our people while they were away and photograph his adventures. The rule is: if you take CHEP on holiday, you need to return with a few photos of his adventures with explanations. These memories will be entered onto this website for everyone in the department to share.
