This webquest was made in order to cover the Grade 6 curriculum on volcanoes and earthquakes.  For the actual curriculum information, see it for yourself at the webpage from the Evergreen Curriculum.

The children in your class should know how to use and search the internet for this webquest.  The children should also know how to write a report.

This webquest can take as long as you feel the class needs to find the information they need in their report.

The objectives of this webquest is to have the children learn all about volcanoes and earthquakes through a different medium than classroom lectures.  The children will be able to learn about searching the internet and writing reports.  There are also many excellent websites that will keep the children interested in learning about volcanoes and earthquakes such as the Virtual Field Trip website which is also included in the resources section of this webquest.  You could also extend this webquest as part of art class and have children make their volcanoes during art class.
