Study Smarter

A starting point for the inquisitive

Where do you locate yourself?

This website has been created for my students and those interested in some of my thoughts on developing their studies, although it is useful for anyone interested in different ways to do, learn and study things. It will grow and change, but for now it is pretty simple - just the links that you see on the right.

I did not make this site especially beautiful; function over form in this case! Speed is everything when you are borrowing a friends slow computer in a country where the telephone connections are slow, erratic and unreliable... And that's talking about rural Canada! I hope it gives you a hand. Good luck.

Sociology 112 Reference Links...

I have replicated (and added to) some of the links and references from the course outline. [link]

Links for Critical Thinking...

In class, my students and I explore scoiological mindfulness and critical thinking. Here are a few links that we have dug up around critical thinking, metaphysics, language, social structures and other odds and ends. [link]

Outfitting Your Computer (for pennies)...

This section is a collection of links that get the necessary computer applications (programs) that you need for most of your everyday university computing needs. I like open-source software that is cross-platform, so most of what you find here will be cheap and good - I have years of first-hand experience with this stuff! [link]
