Lost in the Barrens

Characters - As you read, keep a character journal indicating the pages in which new characters are introduced and anything important about them, such as what they do and their relationship with other characters.

Vocabulary - Don’t spend a lot of time looking up all the new words you find. It is not important for you to understand everything. What’s important is for you to get the main idea about what is happening in the story.
