My  professional work...

I am currently working for Prof. S.O. Kasap (Canada Research Chair in Electronic Materials and Devices) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. I am running the labs at the Electronic Materials and Devices research center and helping the graduate students and other researchers with their experimental work. My current research work is related to: characterization of photoconductors, scintillator and phosphor materials for x-ray imaging;  x-ray detector fabrication; further improvement of the a-Se tecnology for production of x-ray image detectors; development of high resolution a-Se based x-ray detectors. Most of the research work is carried out in  collaboration with the Medical Imaging Research Group at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and partners from the industry like ANRAD Corp., Montreal, Canada, DALSA Corp., Waterloo, Canada and NOVA R&D Inc., California, USA. The research projects are funded by ANRAD Corp. and by grants received through the National Institute of Health, USA and the National Research Council, Canada. In my research so far, I have made contributions to the development of the amorphous selenium based technology for digital medical x-ray imaging, and to the development of high resolution, amorphous selenium based x-ray detector.
