Fastflo

Description:

A computer environment developed by Nick Stokes at CSIRO for solving partial differential equations in 2 and 3 dimensions.

Platforms:

PC's running Windows 95/NT and Unix work stations. A linux version is also available.

Detailed information is available from the Fastflo web site. In Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia, Fastflo is distributed by Compumod, and elsewhere by the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) and a free evaluation copy of Fastflo may be downloaded from this site.

Notes:

Fastflo provides a flexible computational environment for solving rather general problem classes based on pde's. There are applications to standard problems in fluid flow, elasticity, electromagnetism etc, but also non-standard user-defined applications which can be set up with the high level programming language Fasttalk. Fastflo is particularly well-suited to CFD applications.
