FLUENT (FLUENT/FIDAP)

Description:

FLUENT is a comprehensive finite element based CFD solver. FIDAP is an integrated fluid modelling suite, including model building, mesh generation, solving, and post-processing. general purpose finite element based Computational Fluid Dynamics package for simulating fluid flow and heat and mass transfer.

Platforms:

Intel and DEC Alpha NT with 64 MB of RAM (128 MB recommended). Unix platforms include DEC Alpha (Digital Unix 4.0); HP(PA 8000) (HP-UX10.x); IBM RS/6000 (AIX 4.1.4); SUN Ultra (Solaris 2.5); and 128 MB of RAM is required.

Note:

FLUENT performs calculations involving laminar, transitional and turbulent flows; various modes of heat transfer; chemical reaction and multiphase flows; and other complex phenomena. FIDAP includes the above, and also such features as fluid structure interaction, parallel processing and free surface modelling.
