Macsyma (PDEase)

Macsyma are the authors/distributors of a range of well-known mathematical software. Their latest product is Macsyma 2.2 which features the numerical and/or symbolic solution of differential equations. They also market the FE program PDEase.

Description:

PDEase2D, a non-linear PDE solver for 2D problems.

Platforms:

PC's running Windows 95/NT. (Older version available for DOS, Windows, SunOS and Solaris.)

Notes:

"Finite Elements with No Mesh, No Fuss". Applications to heat transfer, reaction-diffusion, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, groundwater flow.
