VectorSpace Programming (vs.lib)

Description:

VectorSpace Programming has developed a C++ class library, vs.lib, containing a set of linear algebra and integrable/differentiable objects. The library has wide application to linear algebra, optimisation, variational methods, and in particular to object-oriented finite element methods.

Quote: "This library [vs.lib] is to make numerical programming in C++ as expressive as using symbolic languages".

The class library vs.lib is available at moderate cost, however the source code for the finite element library fe.lib with applications can be freely downloaded. Note that fe.lib depends on vs.lib but not conversely.

The FE applications are supplemented by a valuable workbook which contains both an extensive and in-depth theoretical background together with many examples of code implementation. This book may also be downloaded.
