Andres lab @ the U of S Biology department
We are an evolutionary genetics lab with a broad range of interests. The core of our research focuses on the genetic basis of reproductive isolation and adaptation. We apply modern molecular techniques to examine natural populations, and learn about the origins of species.
We are currently working on the reproductive isolation between hybridizing species of field crickets, the genetics of evolution of beak length differences in soapberry bugs, and the evolution of aposematism.
