The B.Sc. program in Geophysics prepares graduates for a career in the resource or environmental industries. Graduates who follow the recommended program qualify for professional registration in Saskatchewan, Alberta and other Provinces. Our graduates are working in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.
This is a demanding, multidisciplinary program, that
requires a broad range of classes in Mathematics, Physics, Geology and
Geophysics.
A full year course in geophysical field methods in the final year rounds off the material presented in class. Students spend ten days in the field, working on real problems under the direction of faculty and representatives from industry. The data collected at the field school are analyzed during the school year and several reports are prepared. This was the first geophysics field school in Canada.
