IS 401.3 - Internation Cooperation and Conflict, University of Saskatchewan
Explores the contribution which interdisciplinary theory and research make toward understanding international issues, particularly international cooperation and conflict. Topics will include nationalism and ethnicity, the role of international organizations in conflict resolution and democratization, human rights, militarism and peacekeeping.

POLS 471.3 - Globalization and Challenges, University of Saskatchewan
An examination of the impact of globalization, with emphasis on groups such as labour, women, and the poor, and on the effects of particular transnational processes such as environmental degradation, refugee flows and the spread of ethnic conflicts.

An examination of the major features of international relations, including the nature and evolution of international actors, the issues and ideas which motivate them, and their policies and actions in world politics.

POLS 248 - Foundations of American Government, University of Saskatchewan
Will offer an introduction to the constitutional foundations of American Government. Topics studied will include the origins and basic structure of the Constitution and its amendments, the role of the Courts, civil liberties, federalism, political culture and elections.

POLS 205 - Politics in Canada

Introduces students to the societal context of, and individual and group participation in, Canadian political life. Covers the Canadian political culture, the politics of regionalism, language, ethnicity and federalism, and the main processes of political participation, including political parties, elections, pressure groups, and the mass media.

A survey of nineteenth century Canadian political history, emphasizing the emergence and development of parties, political leadership, creation of and evolution of the federal system and the clash of ethnic, regional, class and religious interests.

A study of the political, economic, and social developments from Mackenzie King to Mulroney; foreign policy during and after the Cold War; U.S. relations; aboriginal issues; separatism, regionalism, and national unity.

PHED 2069 - Soccer, Laurentian University
An introduction to the fundamentals of the game: systems and principles of play, rules and regulations, and the history of the game. Successful students receive Level I Coaching Certification with the Ontario Soccer Association and the Canadian Soccer Association.
