Welcome to the SiteFor as long as I can remember my father has had a 1929 Essex Coupe stored away in our garage at home. I remember spending hours as a kid sitting behind the wheel, crawling into the rumble seat, and wishing I could actually ride the car down the street. In May of 2002 my father called me up and asked me if I wanted to have the car. I was surprised after all this time that he was willing to give it up, but I was ecstatic that he was willing to entrust this heirloom to me. So, on May 30, 2002, almost 40 years after my father bought the car and parked it in his garage, he took it out, put it on a trailer and brought it in to my place. The little boy who wanted to drive it down the street is now able to make this a reality. This site was developed to chronicle my restoration efforts. In the menu on the left you'll find information about my car, Essex motorcars, and antique automobiles in general. There's tips on automobile restoration, lists of antique automobile clubs, sources for parts and information, and generally any information that I've found useful in persuing this hobby.
