Hello there! This is Mohammad Masudur Rahman. I completed my Master's in Computer Science from University of Saskatchewan in August, 2014 under the supervision of Dr. Chanchal Roy. In my thesis, I worked on the "context-aware and IDE-based recommendations" for software developers in dealing with programming errors and exceptions. I received a note of exceptional quality for the thesis, and it was nominated for Best Graduate Thesis 2014 award. I was also nominated for Best Graduate Student 2014 award.
I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the year 2009 from
Khulna University with distinction (First class First) and the most cherished President Gold Medal. Before that I completed my S.S.C and H.S.C from Jhenidah Cadet Collge, one of the most reputed and the most prestigious institutions from Bangladesh.
After B.Sc, I joined a US-based software firm, Nochallenge Technology LLC as a software developer (specialized in Dot NET Framework and web technology), and later joined CSE as a full time faculty member of CSE Discipline, Khulna University.
From September, 2014 I started my Ph.D in Computer Science at University of Saskatchewan under the supervision of Dr. Chanchal Roy. My field of research is Software Engineering. To be specific, my interests contain several C's-- Code search, Code comprehension, Concept location, Code review and Code debugging. I mine software repositories like GitHub, BugZill and Crowdsourced knowledge like Stack Overflow, and derive meaningful artifacts/insight to support those software maintenance activities.
I am also interested in IDE-based and context-aware recommendations and Big Data in Software Engineering. I got a bunch of projects running, and you are welcome to contribute there.
If you are interested, here is my CV I attached. Thanks for visiting!
