Kevin and Monique Haakensen were married in 2006 and currently reside in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We share a passion for learning, distance running, cooking together, and exploring the world of wine. In our spare time we can often be found running along the river bank, enjoying the outdoors, while we train for the our next race.

Let me take the opportunity to introduce you to Kevin (written by Monique). Kevin is an individual with a remarkable amount of balance in his life. A bit of a perfectionist, he strives towards excellence in all facets of his life, whether it be work, education, fitness, or any other undertakings he may pursue. Kevin is a highly motivational person and I have often enjoyed seeing those around him flourish under his enthusiasm and motivation. Kevin possesses a unique blend of analytical ability and people/presentation skills that enables him to function in a multifaceted ability regardless of the role or task at hand. I would describe Kevin as being an exceptionally adaptable, perceptive, and hard working person.
Let me take the opportunity to introduce you to Monique (written by Kevin). Monique is an individual that is truly driven by the passions in her life, which includes science, the outdoors, and friends. I love watching Monique work her "magic" in the lab with unbridled enthusiasm. This enthusiasm and devotion also transfers to many other areas of her life. I have enjoyed watching Monique teach her skills to others in her lab and watching her passion rub off on them as well. Monique is a balanced, caring, and passionate individual with an amazingly warm heart.
