Currently, I am working as Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at NIT Rourkela, India. Prior to this, I was working as a Postdoctoral Fellow under Prof. A. Sayari at CCRI, Univ. of Ottawa, Canada from April 2010-November 2011. I finished my PhD under Prof.Robert. W. J. Scott in the Department of Chemistry, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, in June, 2010.

Current research interests include:

• Inorganic material synthesis in ionic liquid solvents.
• The rational design of selective catalysts and ultrasensitive solid-state sensors.
• Design of unsupported and supported ionic liquid materials for gas separation.
