Hiking Trips

It all started back in 1998 when four fresh University students decided to go for a hike in the mountains. The original four was to be Mitch, Kevin, Adam and Paul. Adam however had to back out since he was (and still is) cursed when arranging trips that involve Mitch. Still the trip would go on with only three. So with "The Canadian Rockies Trail Guide" in hand the daunting task of selecting a route was undertaken in the overheated apartment known as Adam and Ians place.

To this day the trail guide has the original pencil stars placed by Mitch indicating the three finalists: The Skyline Trail, Yoho Valley (which would include the Twin Falls and the Iceline trail) and the Rockwall Trail. And on September 1, 1998 Mitch, Kevin and Paul undertook there first wilderness backpacking trip climbing out past the tree line to 2355 metres (7,720 feet) to walk along the Rockwall Trail (Kootenay National Park).
