This is a view from the front. The piece is approximatley 70 cm (28") tall, 18 cm (7") wide, and 21 cm (8.5") deep. It is a single piece of diamond willow (except the bills which are pieces of willow inserted) mounted on a cherry base. The piece has an oil finish and the base has a paste wax finish. There is a small snail at the bottom below the northern flicker, which is on the left. |

This is a view from the rear. Although it doesn't show well in the images, in my opinion, the piece is just as interesting from this view as from the front. |
