rosie
a little toy i built while an unemployed graduate student...
tree branches sweep ground
falling brown pebbles
orange sun sinking down
CD spinning fast
thick heavy grey limb
telephone breathing
sticky cellophane
firey tipped fur bristles
going down deeper
whispering my name
hopping brown red wings and legs
sharp spines and leathery skin
clouds open and wet falls out
green smell rises from the ground
blue gold light dancing water
mounds of black curly briar
open, close, short rhythm of tide
drier than a leaf in fall
trumpeting elephant stomps
dancing under the moonlight
the bottom is full
chair under window
a late springtime day
balancing the sky
white foam on brown sand
sharp and clear and light
old cracked-open pouch
touch slippery cold rock
footsteps make boards creak
through the open door
