Hi!
I am Shrawan Bhandari. I am from Nepal-a Himalayan country of
South-Asia. Many
people might have heard about the country of Mt. Everest... that is where I am
from!!!
Nepal is not
only about mountains, there are
hilly regions and arid plains as well. Although
it is a small country, it has diverse landscape which provides an unique habitat for several species of plants and animals.
Regarding academics, I am a
Veterinary graduate (BVSc & AH) of Nepal. I have completed MSc in
Veterinary Microbiology. Currently, I am a PhD student at Christchurch School of Medicine, University of
Otago, New Zealand. I have experience of working in the field of
food-safety and zoonotic diseases. My MSc research project was
about investigating the molecular epidemiology of Arcobacter
species (an emerging foodborne pathogen) in retails chickens. For PhD, I will be working in the field of medical pathology.
