WELCOME to the Summer Food Fun Camp Website!
The Summer Food Fun Camp (SFFC) is a week-long day camp held during July and August through the Nutrition Resource and Volunteer Centre (NRVC) at the College of Pharmacy & Nutrition. Camps run Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. The camp is aimed at boys and girls aged 8-12 and is designed to explore and stimulate their imagination around healthy foods.
The camp focuses on preparing recipes from drinks to desserts, appetizers to entrées. In this fun-filled environment, the campers will also learn about the importance of food safety. The camp promotes learning in a fun atmosphere by doing experiments, field trips, outdoor activities, and crafts. The week ends with the wildly popular IRON CHEF Challenge, where campers make their own recipe from scratch (…with maybe just a little help from the counselors).
