In addition to plasmon-enhanced bulk heterojunction solar cells, and those made with novel electron donors/acceptors we also investigate other aspects of polymer solar cell technology. This includes the study of new or emerging hole transport and electrode materials, as well as active layer morphologies and interfaces. Among the tools available for these studies are synchrotron-based X-ray techniques available at the Canadian Light Source.
