Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are some of the most efficient new solar cell technologies, with best-in-class efficiencies now in the mid-teens, and commercial products already on the market. We are currently investigating the use of anisotropic metal nanoparticles in plasmon-enhanced dye sensitized solar cells, but are also actively pursuing other areas of DSSC research. These include the study of new anode materials and sensitizers, as well as the development of better methods for photon management.
