Professional virologists (professors, virologists in industry,
government or private research organizations), as well as senior
graduate students working towards their PhD degrees, are invited to
review articles posted on this site. The reviews, with the names of the
reviewers removed, will be posted at the site. Articles will initially
be tagged as “unreviewed” until the editor receives two positive
reviews recommending publication and the author has modified the
article to the satisfaction of the reviewers and the editor. Such
articles will then be listed as “reviewed”. Articles that receive two
unfavourable reviews will be removed from the site.
Reviewers should comment on the following:
Does the article address an area of virology that is emerging or is of
general interest?
Is the information in the article accurate?
Is the information in the article current? Please keep in mind that the
article may have been prepared a few months before it was posted on the
site. Please feel free to refer to recent articles that the author may
have missed.
Would the article be useful to someone who would like an overview of
the area?
Please include any editorial comments or suggestions for corrections.
Please send your reviews by e-mail to the following address. The
reviews can be pasted in to the message or attached as MS-Word, PDF or
RTF documents.
