Room Change (04.06.07)

Note the room change below. The 2007 Spring and Summer session of PHIL 251 will meet in Arts 214. This change should be reflected on PAWS within the next day or so.

Also, feel free to have a look at the syllabus and schedule for the course. These will, of course, also be handed out on paper at our first meeting this Thursday.

William Buschert <will.buschert@usask.ca>

Text:

Daniel Rothbart, Ed. Science, Reason, and Reality: Issues in the Philosophy of Science (Harcourt Brace, 1998).

This book has been used for previous sections of PHIL 251, so some used copies may be available.

A copy has also been placed on 4 hour reserve at the Main Library Reserve Desk. Students who cannot afford the textbook are welcome to make use of this, but I strongly recommend obtaining your own copy if at all possible.

Additional readings (if any) and some materials used in class (e.g., overheads and presentations) may also be made available on the course web site.
