Intellectual Property and Medical Innovation (05.10.15)

We'll be discussing issues related to intellectual property in the next class after the Thanksgiving break. In the meantime, I thought I'd pass along the following, since it provides an unusually clear and fairly even-handed account of its topic:

"How Patent Law Can Block Even Lifesaving Drugs," Austin Frakt, New York Times, Sep. 28, 2015

Course Syllabus
(09.18.15)

I may yet tinker with a bit before our first class next Monday, but I've posted an all-but-final version of the course syllabus on the Course Notes page, in case anyone would care to have an advance look.

This eigth week course begins September 21st and runs to November 16th (with a break for the Thanksgiving holiday).
